Todos hemos soñado con aprender inglés de manera fácil y sin sentarnos durante horas frente a un libro o repitiendo una y otra vez los mismos ejercicios. Si bien a veces hace falta memorizar algunas cosas y practicar para que nuestro cerebro coja agilidad, también podemos aprender de otra manera: frente al televisor, riendo o llorando, esperando a que se descubra al asesino o a que esos dos personajes que tanto nos gustan por fin se besen bajo la lluvia. Así que aquí te traemos cuatro series para que aprendas inglés:
Castle (2009)
Esta no es la típica serie policiaca como CSI o Mentes criminales. Richard Castle es un famoso escritor neoyorquino de novela policiaca que saca bestsellers como churros y Kate Becket, una joven detective de homicidios a quien no se le escapa un criminal. Tendrán que trabajar juntos cuando Castle decide escribir una novela basada en Kate y aunque ella al principio le odia, pronto se dará cuenta de que tiene ideas geniales y juntos hacen un gran equipo. Esta exitosa serie de la productora ABC se encuentra ahora mismo en Amazon Prime y si seleccionas la opción de versión original podrás hacer oído escuchando un perfecto inglés estadounidense. Los capítulos duran alrededor de 50 minutos, así que es perfecta si tienes un buen rato, pero no te apetece ver una película o directamente, elegirla. Asesinatos, compañerismo, amor y conspiraciones internacionales en la producción que revolucionó el género policiaco ¡Ah! Y una cosa más, si también te gusta la lectura, puedes comprar los libros en los que está inspirado el personaje de Kate Becket, las novelas de Nikki Heat.
Friends (1994)
Si no conoces esta serie y naciste antes del 2000 quizás estabas viviendo debajo de una piedra. La conocida serie humorística estadounidense apareció en las televisiones por primera vez hace ya 27 años, pero hoy está más viva que nunca ya que 2021 ha sido testigo la vuelta del fenómeno mundial al estrenarse Friends, the reunion en el servicio de streaming HBO. Tanto en la serie original como en esta adaptación podemos reír con la loca vida de un grupo de compañeros de piso de Manhattan. Sus romances, discusiones, locuras y vivencias nos harán morir de la risa tanto si lo vemos en versión original como en castellano, para qué engañarnos. Pero estamos aquí por el inglés ¿No? Además, son episodios muy cortos, así que no nos explotará el cerebro como viendo Lo que el viento se llevó.
The Crown (2016)
¿Eres un amante de la historia y además disfrutas más del fino acento británico que del estadounidense? ¡Pues quizás esta sea tu serie para aprender inglés! Este drama histórico repasa toda la segunda mitad del siglo XX desde el punto de vista de la casa real inglesa, desde la llegada al trono de Isabel II hasta quizá nuestros días ¿Quién sabe? Porque lo bueno de esta serie es que tras cuatro temporadas, aún no ha acabado, ya que Netflix no solo ha anunciado la quinta temporada para noviembre de 2022, sino que también ha confirmado la sexta y última. Intrigas de la corte, amores prohibidos y mucha rigurosidad histórica te acompañarán mientras perfeccionas tu inglés.

3 series to learn English
We have all dreamed of learning English easily and without sitting in front of a book or repeating the same exercises over and over again. Although sometimes it is necessary to memorize some things and practice so that our brain becomes agile, we can also learn in another way: in front of the television, laughing or crying, waiting for the murderer to be discovered or for those two characters that we like so much for they finally kiss in the rain. So here there are 4 series to make that happen and help you improving your English skills.
Castle (2009)
