La Nochevieja está muy cerca y ya casi estamos en el año 2022. ¿Ya tienes planes de cómo vas a pasar la Nochevieja? Si no es así, puedes encontrar algo de inspiración en nuestro pequeño viaje alrededor del mundo. Vamos a celebrar el Año Nuevo en cuatro países diferentes justo a tiempo para disfrutar de varias fiestas de Año Nuevo diferentes. Debido a la pandemia, muchos fuegos artificiales públicos y fiestas de Año Nuevo no tendrán lugar este año. Las siguientes recomendaciones son más bien un resumen de cómo se celebran las fiestas normalmente.
Sin embargo, empecemos por Auckland, en Nueva Zelanda. Auckland se encuentra en la parte norte de la Isla Norte de Nueva Zelanda. Aquí, la gente comienza con las celebraciones de Año Nuevo, para ser más específicos, ya están celebrando el Año Nuevo a las 11 de la mañana, según el huso horario español. Sin duda, un argumento a favor de celebrarlo en Auckland es que la ciudad de Auckland es conocida por celebrar el mejor evento de fuegos artificiales del país, ¡y es gratis!
Para continuar, nuestra segunda celebración tendrá lugar en Sidney, Australia, ya que su 2022 comienza a las 14 horas, según el huso horario español. En Sidney hay un montón de posibilidades para disfrutar de la noche en familia y con amigos. Puedes elegir entre cinco eventos diferentes, todos ellos situados en los alrededores del puerto de Sidney.
Vamos a continuar nuestro viaje en Londres, Gran Bretaña. Aquí el año nuevo comienza a la 1 de la madrugada del sábado. En Londres suele celebrarse un espectáculo de fuegos artificiales a medianoche y las campanadas del Big Ben anuncian la llegada del Año Nuevo.
Continuando con nuestro viaje en la ciudad de Nueva York, EE.UU. hay que decir que no te puedes perder la famosa caída de la bola el sábado a las 6 de la mañana. El Times Square Ball es una bola que cada año se sitúa en la azotea del rascacielos neoyorquino de Times Square «One Times Square». La ceremonia se celebró por primera vez en 1907 y comienza 60 segundos antes de que comience el nuevo año. A continuación, la bola desciende lentamente. Esta ceremonia es uno de los momentos más importantes de la Nochevieja en los EE.UU.
Nuestra última parada es en Alaska, Estados Unidos. Aquí, el Año Nuevo se celebra a las 10 de la mañana. ¿Pero qué tiene de especial celebrarlo en Alaska? Bueno, por ejemplo, en lugar de ver fuegos artificiales puedes ver la aurora boreal. ¡Celebrar la Nochevieja en Alaska es sin duda una experiencia única!

New Year’s around the world
New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and we´re almost in the Year 2022. Do you already have any plans for how you are going to spend New Year’s Eve? If not, you can find some inspiration in our little trip around the world. We are going to celebrate New Year’s in four different countries just in time to enjoy several different New Year’s Parties! Short disclaimer: Due to the pandemic, many public fireworks displays and New Year’s Parties won´t take place this year. The following recommendations are more of an overview of how last years´ celebrations were held.
Nonetheless, let’s start in Auckland, New Zealand. Auckland is located in the northern part of the North Island of New Zealand. Here, people are starting with New Year’s celebrations, to be more specific, they’re already celebrating the New Year at 11am, according to the Spanish time zone. Definitely a pro argument to celebrate in Auckland is that Auckland City is known for holding the best fireworks event in the country and it’s free!
To be continued, our second celebration will take place in Sydney, Australia, as 2022 begins at 14pm, according to the Spanish time zone. In Sydney there are tons of possibilities of how you can enjoy the night with families and friends. You can choose from five different events, all located around the Sydney Harbour.
We are going to continue our trip in London, Great Britain. Here the new year starts at 1am on Saturday. In London usually a midnight fireworks show is held and the chimes of the Big Ben announce the arrival of the New Year.
Continuing our trip in New York City, USA it must be said that you can’t miss the famous ball drop at 6 am on Saturday. The Times Square Ball is a ball, which each year is located at the roof of the New York Times Square skyscraper “One Times Square”. The ceremony was firstly held in 1907 and starts 6o seconds before the new year starts. Then, the ball is slowly lowered. This ceremony is one of the highlights of the US American New Year’s Celebrations.
Our last stop is in Alaska, USA. Here, New Year’s is celebrated at 10 am. But what is so special about celebrating in Alaska? Well, for example instead of watching artificial fireworks you can watch the northern lights! Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Alaska for sure is a unique experience!
